In the dynamic world of color, the road to sustainability for the industry value chain isn’t a straight path—it’s more like navigating a national forest. There are countless routes to explore, diverse priorities to consider, and uncertainties along the way. Leading the conversation for the color industry, CPMA launched its Sustainability & Innovation Initiative in 2024. Through this initiative, CPMA is committed to working with the color industry value chain to advance sustainable color solutions.
In 2024, CPMA held its inaugural Sustainability & Innovation Forum designed for pigment manufacturers, plastics masterbatch, dispersions and preparations companies. The forum brought together key stakeholder from across the value chain and featured insights from global brand leaders, legal experts, certification organizations, plastics recyclers, and converters. Check out highlights from the event here.
Spring 2025 Sustainability & Innovation Forum

Continuing to the conversation to drive sustainable solutions for the color industry value chain, CPMA will hold its Spring 2025 Sustainability & Innovation Forum on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Hatfield, PA. This full-day event will be hosted by Penn Color, a global leader in plastic masterbatches and pigment dispersions for inks and coatings.
Once again, CPMA will convene thought leaders, value chain stakeholders, and industry experts to address sustainability challenges and opportunities for the pigments industry and its customers. From evolving regulations to customer goals, this forum is designed to equip our industry with the knowledge and partnerships needed to navigate the sustainability landscape.
If your company is looking to promote its sustainability initiatives, enhance and strengthen its programs, or better align with the sustainability goals of customers and suppliers, CPMA’s Sustainability & Innovation Initiative offers the insights, strategies and connections to help you succeed.
The CPMA Sustainability & Innovation Committee is co-chaired by Tom Farrell, Vice President of Sustainability at Penn Color and Nikola Juhasz, Global Technical Director of Sustainability at Sun Chemical.
