“For years, Cabot has been an active participant in carbon black and silica industry groups, as well as other market-specific industry associations, and we are excited to expand our participation to CPMA,” said Susan Hipsky, senior regulatory affairs manager of Cabot Corporation. “Through CPMA’s network of pigment suppliers and long-standing relationships with key federal agencies, we are confident in the regulatory guidance we will receive around issues directly impacting our dispersions business.”
Borregaard is an intermediates supplier based in Sarpsborg, Norway. Operating through a global presence of advanced and sustainable biorefineries, Borregaard’s biobased dispersants are used in wide-ranging applications for the purpose of modifying the rheology of dispersed aqueous systems.
“We are excited to develop a more intimate relationship and understanding of the color pigments sector in North America through our membership to CPMA,” said David Oldroyd, Americas business manager of Borregaard. “We look forward to working with CPMA and its member companies from across the pigments value chain to add efficiencies and technical enhancements that best meet our customer demands.”
“We are very proud to welcome Torrecid USA, Cabot Corporation and Borregaard to CPMA’s community of color pigments manufacturers, dispersions producers and intermediate suppliers,” said David Wawer, executive director of CPMA. “These leaders within the global pigments supply chain and all CPMA members work to provide solutions for customers across various product applications. As the color pigments industry faces an increasingly complex regulatory landscape and evolving customer needs, we are pleased to have their confidence in us as the North American expert on these key issues and look forward to their engagement and participation.”
