CPMA Executive Director Dave Wawer recently visited with American Association of Textile Chemists & Colorists Executive Director Diana Wyman at AATCC Headquarters in Raleigh, NC. Ms. Wyman provided an overview about resources of AATCC Technical Laboratories and their positive impacts for textile products research and development. The two associations have shared interests in emerging Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to PFAS chemicals, with AATCC having recently hosted a PFAS Workshop for its members, entitled Navigating a Path Forward for PFAS in Textiles. The two associations are also focusing on strategies for aligning technical/scientific information found in the Colour Index with chemicals registration laws in North America and other global regions. CPMA and AATCC are members of the Color Index Editorial Board.
