Blog: CPMA Presence Felt at the 2021 Eastern Coatings Show

CPMA Executive Director Dave Wawer attended the Eastern Coatings Show - the largest regional coatings show in the U.S. - in Atlantic City, New Jersey, November 17-19. Wawer participated in industry discussions around sustainability, supply chain disruptions, and Biden Administration policies likely to impact the coatings industry in the coming months.

The Eastern Coatings Show was the first major coatings industry event in North America in almost two years. With more than 800 attendees between the opening night reception and on the show floor Thursday and Friday, event attendance far exceeded show organizers' expectations, originally anticipated at 600.

Meetings were conducted with numerous CPMA members, including UMC Corporation, Colorants Solutions, Sun Chemical, Heubach, DCL Corporation, Bruchsaler-Farbenwerk, as well as prospective CPMA members companies. A high energy level was quite evident among show participants, along with positive projections for business activity in 2022.

Industry value chain participants included color pigments manufacturers, pigments dispersions companies, chemical distributors, raw material suppliers, and coatings manufacturers. The CPMA brand was quite prominent on display signs as sponsor of coffee breaks in the exhibit hall.
